My Faith Has Found A Resting Place

My faith has found a resting place,
Not in device nor creed;
I trust the Ever-living One,
His wounds for me shall plead.

I need no other argument,
I need no other plea;
It is enough that Jesus died,
And that He died for me.

Enough for me that Jesus saves,
This ends my fear and doubt;
A sinful soul I come to Him,
He'll never cast me out.

My heart is leaning on the Word,
The written Word of God,
Salvation by my Savior's name,
Salvation through His blood.

My great Physician heals the sick,
The lost He came to save;
For me His precious blood He shed,
For me His life He gave.

(As I finished writing this post, this very song began to play on my online radio, Abiding Radio. Talk about emotion! I believe the Lord was giving not only His approval but also reinforcing the truth of His Word in which I have rested my faith.)

Trust

I am desparately trying to find a "perfect gift" from the Lord in the middle of some painful days. It's difficult to look at a negative time in one's life as a gift given to you in love but I am having to trust Him in an extra-special way, remembering that He is in control, nothing is impossible with Him and He will work things out in the way that will bring most glory to Him. That is difficult for me to see at this point but I know I must trust Him, that He will work all things out for our good and His glory. And also to keep my own sanity. Trust. It's a gift from Him to me. Even more wonderful, is that I have Him to trust!
"Preserve me, O God; for in Thee do I put my trust." (Psalm 16:1)
